The
Sables
In the stables, which date from 1912, 37 loose boxes
are ready to stable your horses. The boxes of 4 by 4m. are equipped with an automatic
watering system. A heating device prevents the water from frizzing in winter.
For you, the facilities are equally impressive: a 20X40 m. indoor school, a
70X30 m. outdoor arena and club-house where riders can relax and enjoy a
snack after exercising their horses. The horse care given is of a high quality in the
purest British tradition of horsemanship. This is why lord Newcastle Stables was the first riding establishment to be approved in Europe outside the United
Kingdom. There are four different
types of livery to meet your particular requirements. The
Lessons
The director, Denis Soyer, B.H.S.I. , and his team of instructors will
offer to share with you the knowledge they have learned in the best riding
school in Europe. Situated on the edge of the Forêt de Soignes, Lord Newcastle Stables offers riders
of all level quality instruction in all three Olympic disciplines as well as
vaulting and side-saddle equitation. The aim of our instructors is to train
riders capable of progressing on their own. The tuition in English, French and Flemish by
qualified instructors attracts an international clientele to Lord Newcastle Stable. The weekly tuition at Lord Newcastle Stables offers
you the opportunity to assess your level of riding and stable management
through the British horse Society's Progressive Riding tests or the Belgian
exams. For future professionals, Lord
Newcastle Stables offers training towards the B.H.S. Instructor exams.
All levels of clinics can be organised for riders wishing to improve their
horsemanship or their performance in competition. We can provide you with
specialist courses such as side saddle equitation, long reining, work in
hand. Hacking is not forgotten at Lord Newcastle Stables. The
wonderful surroundings of the Forêt de Soignes with its protected bridle path
allow the rider to rediscover
nature on his best friend's back. The

hold regular weekly courses throughout the year. They are designed for those
riders who, whatever their own level of experience, wish to increase their
knowledge and improve their performance. Courses can be tailored to
individual requirements but most find one of the three outlined below for particular value. General equitation The course for the all round rider. The week
involves: Two hours of riding both flat and jumping, and a stable management

cross-country, with two class lessons and one theory lecture each day from
Monday to Friday. Children's Short Course Teaching Children to enjoy riding and at the

arrangement. British Horse Society examination courses A note of caution Our
Certificate courses are mainly designed for those wishing to embark upon a career with horses.
To this end, students must appreciate the necessity of carrying out all
aspect of the work entailed in horse care : grooming, tack cleaning, mucking out and
sweeping yards among them. Only by learning to do such things well can
students either be efficient themselves or know what standards can be fairly
demanded from other's. We must ask that students and their parents or
guardians fully appreciate this point before undertaking a Certificate
course. If you have any doubt by all means consider one of the various courses
offered by the school, as listed further. Medical safeguards All students on long-term courses must present a
certificate of health
and medical fitness from their family doctor. If so advised by your family
doctor, please also bring your medical records. All students should be fully
immunised against tetanus. It is recommended that students from countries
that do not have a reciprocal agreement with the Belgian National Health
Service arrange some form of medical insurance to cover them against the cost
of illness during their time here. British Horse Society Assistant
